Residence: Spain ( passport - 187 territory of visa-free entry)
Residence permit (for investors & homeowners):
- initially issued for a period of 1 year (when applying for a visa outside Spain),
- a residence permit is issued for a period of 2 years (upon request of a residence permit at the territory of Spain),
- subsequent extension for 5 years,
- including a spouse, partner, in a civil marriage, children under the age of 18, children over 18 (financially dependent on parents), the applicant's parents and his spouse (subject to living at their own expense after moving),
- with the right to work,
- does not require a stay in Spain for 183 days a year,
- permanent residence status - 5 years after obtaining a visa (residence permit),
- citizenship - 10 years after receiving the status of permanent residence,
- dual citizenship is not recognized.
Conditions for obtaining a residence permit:
- possession of residential, commercial real estate, land or a combination of them worth over 500 thousand euros,
- ownership of corporate shares in the amount of not less than 1 million euros,
- placing an amount of at least 1 million euros in a Spanish bank,
- Investments of at least 2 million euro in Spanish bonds (for a period of at least 5 years).
Residence permit (for financially independent persons):
- issued for a period of 1 year
- subsequent extension for 2 years,
- including spouse and children under the age of 21,
- without the right to work,
- does not require a stay in Spain for 183 days a year,
- permanent residence status - 5 years after obtaining a visa (residence permit),
- citizenship - 10 years after receiving the status of permanent residence,
- dual citizenship is not recognized.
Conditions for obtaining a residence permit:
- availability of stable annual income from permanent sources (passive income),
- or having a high average balance of funds in the applicant’s bank account during the year,
- rental contract,
- certificate of no criminal record
- medical insurance,
- medical certificate of the absence of dangerous diseases.
